Hello all you lovely people. I hope you are all getting to enjoy a festive fall. For anyone in the path of the many natural disasters plaguing the United States in recent months and weeks, I hope you are all staying safe.

This year has been busy-busy-busy. The ebook for Never Let Go, the final book in the Open Hands Open Hearts Trilogy, was released in March, so if you are looking for a new series to check out, jampacked with strong female characters I would love to hear what you think of the book in the review section ;-). The paperback’s release date is unfortunately still TBD. It has not fallen off my to-do list. There will be a paperback. I like staring at my books like little trophies on by bookshelf too much for there not to be…
In the meantime, I am working on a new project and delving into a new genre. This new project, as yet to be named will be a steam-punky fantasy series about a badass female monster hunter, dead-set on earning her freedom from a prestigious Monster Hunter’s Guild, teaming up with a rogue pirate captain and his crew to rescue a lord’s daughter and safely transport her to the royal summer palace. Along the way the hunter and the pirate captain must battle mystical creatures, other pirates, and their growing feelings for each other. This will be a series of at least three if not four books. We’ll see where my mind carries me.
So far, I have the exposition written and am just getting into the fun bits of the book. Tonight, I plan to write the scene where our hunter meets the pirate captain.
I have a couple other projects ruminating in my idea journal as well, though I am unsure when I will get to them.
One of these, is an idea for a second fantasy series, possibly based in the same world as the Hunter-Pirate series.
This second series will be a sort of Beauty and the Beast retelling with a Van Helsing flare.
In a kingdom ruled by vampires, Ixa, a young human woman bent on escaping her village to see the wider world beyond offers herself up to a group of thirsty vampire guards to save her family and the people she loves from bloodshed and soon finds herself under the care of a charming vampire lord. For the first time, Ixa finds herself living a life of luxury she never thought she’d see. But all is not as it seems. Soon Ixa finds she is not the lady she hoped but the blood pet to a horde of ravenous overlords. With the help of a disgruntled vampire courtier and an enslaved werewolf, Ixa fights to find the freedom she always craved. This will most likely be a duology or one really long book.
I also have a small poetry project in the works, tied to the Open Hands Open Hearts trilogy, that will offer a glimpse into Molley’s psyche as she progresses through the series. This will either be released in pieces here on my blog or compiled as a small novella available on Amazon.
Until next time! Write on!
